Al's hands

By Isabella

Many of his fans, and most part of film makers, would certainly say that the first thing they would remember of Al Pacino are his eyes. His glance, the way he looks at the camera, reaching the deep bottom of our hearts, the way those eyes can make you feel as weak as you've just been hit by a bullet, or in love as you just can't think of nobody else as the man of your life, well, all this it's well known to anybody in the world who's ever seen a movie starring Al Pacino. Even in some polls his eyes top the list as the thing making him a sex symbol, too.

But I think there's something else that it's worth a better look: his hands. I love men's hands, I have to admit it, but Al's hands are very special. You can see Michael Corleone, or Serpico, or Carlito Brigante on the screen, and being convinced you're watching them, not an actor playing a role, but if you'll keep your eyes on his hands, you'll see they're always Al Pacino's hands. They're his own hands, not Carlito's or Serpico's ones. Of course they're the hardest part of the body to control, even for such a great and perfectionist actor. Any psychologist can tell you this. If you want to know if someone is true, just watch the way he moves his hands.

I think it's nice to see something of Al "the man" coming through while he's acting. It's a kind of trademark.

And of course, watch those hands just for their beauty. They are strong hands. Large, but graceful. Graceful, but very masculine.

Look at his hands when they take a glass. Look at them when they hold a gun. Look at the way those delicate fingers caress a woman's face. Look at them when they pass through his always wild hair, when they hold a book, when they point at you from a screen, under that well known amazing glance. They dance around him, maybe they're hipnotizing you, and you don't even know it!

So, next time you'll see one of his movies, take a look at Al's hands, and you'll discover something new in your favorite actor.

Just a tip in the end: "Heat" is one of the best movie to start this kind of investigation: look at Al's hands when he holds Justine when they're in the hospital. Or when he's in the kitchen, sitting at the table, arguing with her because he's late for dinner. You'll get in love once more.

Ode To Pacino

by Michelle

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Tony, Ricky, Bobby, Carlito.
My loins quicken with each performance.
Out of reach; You keep me in torment.

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Hughie, Tom Dobb. You hottie, Latino!
Two new movies, you promise this year.
Oh, just to hold you close to me dear.

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Capt. Frank, Lefty, Oh, Carlito!
Making my pulse do somersaults;
Even the Academy has its faults.

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
If I could place a bet at any Casino:
I'd blow on the dice, rolling them rough,
Just to hold you close to me, in the buff.

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Vince Hannah, Tony, Bobby, Carlito:
I've been accused of obsessing with hair.
I'd give a million dollars to touch you there...

.................................................
Minds out of the gutter! Naughties, beware!
I was talking about fingers running through hair!
.................................................

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Tony, Ricky, Bobby, Carlito.
This little rhyme could run to infinity.
But, we must end, with sweet simplicity.

It's been a great honor to share adoration
of Al, Yes Al; there's no contemplation.
My egroups list cronies; Don't you agree
My little Pacino; My heart beats for thee.

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Tony, Bobby, Oh, Carlito!
They say she's mad, a little insane.
She's always got Al on the Brain.

Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Then she thought ... What do they know?
Al could be lurking, reading in laughter.
Then he'll decide, he'll have to Have Her.

Screw you Beverly and Penelope Ann
It's time for me to take a stand.
Amoré, amoré, my little Pacino.
Won't you marry me, you hottie, Latino?

The Quest for Al Pacino

by Donna Rosa Baker

It's kind of like "looking for Mr. Goodbar"; it'll never happen and as long as I can remember, I've been on a quest; a quest to one day meet Al Pacino. If only in my dreams.

My coworkers will tell you. I've got a small picture of Al from Carlittos Way taped to the inside of the desk drawer with my own caption on it "do not remove or i'll make you an offer you can't refuse". No one has dared touch that picture although the ink has faded and there are a few tears in it from years of mutual desk sharing. But I must admit, my coworkers are patient with me about the "quest". They know that every time they go to get a soda and ask "do you want anything?" the answer will be "only if Al Pacinos up there". It never fails. I settle for a pepsi instead.

When did the quest begin? Probably when the Godfather hit the screen. No, I am not a fanatic, the head of a fan club or a fantasy seeker. I'm just a woman who enjoys the "quest".

I say "I love Al Pacino". You may ask: "What do you mean"love"? you don't even know Al Pacino!" you say. True, but for the past 20 odd years I have told people that I was supposed to marry Al Pacino, but alas. my husband came along and stole my heart. Even my dear husband has been tolerant of the "quest". He's gone as far as telling others that they better not say anything negative about Al Pacino (like, really how could they anyway, right?!) around me. HIs need to protect the "other man" is admirable. Of course he doesn't show me that side but it's all in fun and in truth, has become as stable in our family as white bread.

Of course I'm not in love with Al Pacino! Of course I've not been invited to marry Al Pacino and of course I'm not addicted to Al Pacino (well, maybe his movies!) But Al has brought delight and entertainment into my life and i do like looking at him! (smile) (everyone has a vice!)

It seems i will forever be on the "quest" for Al Pacino. I anxiously await each movie so that i can see his talent at work and can he work it! so, keep on working it Al and I'll keep on "questing" and maybe one day we can sit down together for a bowl of spaghetti and a glass of red wine and do the tango!

Always, "Rosa"
